The final paragraphs in the prologue to Mary Trump's book read:
"Donald has always needed to perpetuate the fiction my grandfather started that he is strong, smart and otherwise extraordinary, because facing the truth - that he is none of these things - is too terrifying for him to contemplate.
Donald, following the lead of my grandfather and with the complicity, silence, and inaction of his siblings, destroyed my father. I can't let him destroy my country."
Fascinating reading!

Sure enough, the outside work hit our balcony today.
High pressure water spray broke off the loose pieces from the ceiling.
The hopeful news is that the high pressure water spray has blasted the spiders off the balcony as well.

Mardi and I saw some really nice drawer handles at Lowe's - red ones that matched the door knobs we currently have. But they were priced between $38 and $50 each and on special order. We need nine, so we would be talking in the order of $400 for handles for six drawers. Not going to happen! But the salesman had a suggestion - why not buy cheaper white ones for $3 each and paint them?
So that's what we did.
Looks good so far!

Bought the wood for the remaining three drawers and cut them for assembly. Slow progress but progress nonetheless.

Tomorrow we have another birthday to celebrate, and a furnace cleaning is on the agenda.
Stay well. Stay safe. Stay Canadian.
