Cactus and Kitchen Duty

If you missed the CNN item about Canada's response to the coronavirus yesterday, here is the link:

Nevertheless, there is still a ways to go.  People in our building, who are mostly old, still don't wear a mask for movement within the building.  Probably just 40% with masks.

And, who knows when we'll have the courage to travel into the U.S.  Probably not until a vaccine is available.  Mid to late next year?  Hopefully in time for our golf weekend at Byrncliff Resort in N.Y. state in June.  Glad they've got Governor Cuomo looking after things in that state!

Ventured out in the heat just long enough to look after Monica's cactus.  Took a cutting and also planted 14 buds that had finished flowering.  They're all on the misting bench right now.  As soon as we're sure that her cutting is happy and thriving I'll give Monica a call.  Wore gloves but still had a couple of prickers get through.  Tough little buggers!

Installed the new LED kitchen light and the dimmer switch.  Didn't realize how bright 5,600 lumens is!  Glad Mardi requested the dimmer.

Took a bit longer than planned.  It's hard drilling into reinforced concrete!

Tomorrow is a (forecast to be hot) golf day.  Playing with Ron King and Judy Rivers.  We're gradually getting to play a round with each of our friends.  Looking forward to it!

A couple of important birthdays coming up tomorrow.  Stay tuned.  And stay well. Be safe and optimistic.
