It appears that travel health insurers will not cover COVID -19 until there is a vaccine, so just imagine how many million dollars the bill would be if you're put on a ventilator in the U.S. for a few weeks! And if you're flying they wouldn't let you get back on the plane to head home if you're symptomatic.
So, it looks like travel outside Canada is off the table for us until we are able to get vaccinated. Goodbye winter vacation. Hello board/bored games!
Our summer weekend golf trip to Byrncliff in New York State which has been postponed until 2021 may not be wise even then. Lots of question marks about the future at this time! Might still need to self isolate for 14 days upon return.
But life as we now know it is still better than the alternative. Keep smiling!
