Downtown Kissimmee

We had our serenaded (by the Mockingbird) swim again this morning.  What a wonderful atmosphere!

Today was over 30 C and humid again, so no golf.  Instead we headed to downtown Kissimmee for a walk around.

Saw a couple of murals.

A very interesting hardware store.  Matt found an item he had been looking for.

Building walls weren't the only decorated places.

And there were other 'works of art" to view.

But the best place was the waterfront park.

The park is much bigger than my pictures can show, and it includes several unique play areas for the kids, like this one,

Unfortunately, heading home we got mired in rush hour traffic.  So it was back into the pool to recover.

And speaking of recovery - Matt and I had been on the ropes in our Skip-Bo score, but had a remarkable hand tonight that gave us a narrow lead.  Whoever wins the next hand will likely win the game.  Stay tuned.

Tomorrow we head to Dunedin to see the Blue Jays take on the Pittsburgh Pirates.  The temperature is forecast to be much more moderate, thank goodness.

  1. I didn't even know there was a "downtown" Kissimmee.
