Erin O'Toole has suggested that the Canadian flag has been at half mast long enough in respect to the reconciliation issue and that it should be proudly waved once more.
As usual, my thoughts are somewhere else. Whether the flag is at half mast or not doesn't do anything to honour the commitments our country has made to the Indigenous people.
I prefer to think that it should be at half mast to shame the various governments who have not honoured those commitments. When Trudeau, or his successor, meets our obligations and stops spending huge bucks on lawyers to fight the issue, then maybe we can be proud of the flag once again. He talks a great game. Too bad he can't play one.
How many communities would have clean water now if the money spent on legal fees was instead used for that purpose?

Blue Jays played a good game until the 8th inning when a rookie mistake allowed Detroit to score an inside the park home run. No playoff run this year.
