Major League Baseball created a ball field in Dyersville, Iowa, right next to the Field of Dreams field, and scheduled a major league game there for last night (Yankees versus White Sox).
David sent me a message about it which caused me to get out a big box of pictures (most of which predate digital cameras) and find evidence of my two visits. Spent most of yesterday morning on that task.
The first visit was with brother Roger. We were heading west and listened to an audio version of the movie along the way.
The second time was with grandson Sean on another trip west. He got to run the bases and emerge from the corn field.
Lots of fun!
Mardi and I don't search out sites like that, but if they're along the way we do stop and visit.
One such visit was to Roslyn, Washington, which represented Cicely, Alaska, and was the site of the 1990's TV show Northern Exposure. Beautiful area!
We also stopped in Rouleau, Saskatchewan, which represented Dog River, the home of Corner Gas.
On our trip this winter, coronavirus rules allowing, we plan to spend two nights in Laurel, Mississippi, the site of the HGTV show, Home Town.

The pregame show re the Field of Dreams was good, and Chicago beat the Yankees.
Gave up watching the Blue Jays game at midnight. They were on their way to losing.

Spread about a dozen broken bags of soil that will hopefully improve the growing conditions in an infertile area over the septic beds and did my watering.
Enjoyed lunch with Sue, David and Ewen.
