But first, we need to tidy up our chronicles from yesterday.
After the train ride, we did a load of laundry. Mardi had heard that the Blazin' M Ranch dinner/show was really fun, so we decided to take it in.
The show was fun.
The best number was "Ghost Riders In The Sky". A horse and rider thundered around the hall (outside, bathed in strobe lights) during each chorus. After the show, the girls got to meet them.
Then, as young ladies sometimes do, they got in a mess of trouble and I was afraid that we'd have to leave them.
All in all, a fun evening. And it set the tone for our ride today.
We met at the Javelina Leap Winery.
We were driven from there to the corral, where we were assigned horses - Lefty for Reggie, Poncho for Sarah-Jean, Sundance for Mardi and Josie for your hero.
And off we went.
Some people have trouble controlling their horses.
But we got it all together.
A couple of hours later we arrived back at the Winery. We lined up for a group picture, but that control issue came up again!
Some people are naturals!
David, never mind the chicken coop - start thinking about a stall and corral. A.J., clear out the garage. These ladies want a horse!
Last stop in Sedona was the Chapel of the Holy Cross. A real work of art!
And it's surrounded by Nature's beauty.

And so, our sojourn in Sedona ends. Sarah-Jean and Reggie were given a choice: see the pictographs at the V-V (vee bar vee) Ranch or leave a day early and hope the weather lets us get on the Skywalk. Obviously, they chose the Skywalk, so we gave up a night's accommodation at the Cliff Castle Casino Hotel and headed for Kingman.
We are staying at the Quality Inn, on old Route 66.
Cold water didn't stop them. Of course the 87 degree air helped.
Well, it did stop Mardi and the camera man.
Tomorrow we take another stab at the Skywalk.
