Day Four - July 6 - Grand Canyon Day

After a good buffet breakfast we headed to the Canyon.

Froot loops, pancakes bacon and homefries, with pineapple and watermelon.  Wow!

First stop was National Geographic's IMAX show:  Hidden Secrets of the Grand Canyon.
The ladies described it as "thrilling"  "informative" "spectacular".  It is a breathtaking depiction of the canyon and its exploration - well worth seeing before you visit the canyon itself.

Then into the park where we took the shuttle bus to the rim.

But first, let's get the sunblock on.

One of the tourists had brought her pet ferret, so that took centre stage for a while.

The girls are on the Bright Angel Trail (what other name could it have?).   Behind them is a section of the trail that Ewen and I hiked last August.

We headed to Sedona and had dinner at the Airport Restaurant.

Our room at the Hotel at the Cliff Castle Casino doesn't hold a candle to our room at Little America in Flagstaff,, and internet access is poor, but we will shoulder on.
