Two hours of driving to get there - six hours of driving afterward - but it was worth it according to Sarah-Jean and Reggie.
The weather was magnificent - in the seventies and breezy. The pictures are pretty good too.
Mardi got us waving from the deck.
Then the Skywalk photographers took over. The Colorado River is 4,000 feet below us.
Scared? Not us!
Well, at this point the old guy was.
We had lunch at Guano Point again and headed on to Indio, California.
At a crossroads in the desert we saw these "big, stupid things"
It was very smoggy as we entered the Coachella Valley, helped along by the 100F temperature at 6 p.m.
But the temperature was perfect for a swim.
A one-event day, but a highlight of the trip. Tomorrow we explore the Coachella Valley from Indio to Palm Springs.
