Today is Gabriella Lougheed's birthday, but I'm sure the shine has been taken off it by the recent health issues of her son Cristian. The young teenager has Lymphoma and is undergoing chemotherapy. Your thoughts and prayers would be welcome.

There is a second course here at Lake Geneva called The Brute, but it is currently closed for aeration. It's just as well. We certainly aren't up to two days in a row after yesterday's hill climbing. Next time perhaps.
Instead we decided to take a two hour boat tour on the Walworth.
Bought our tickets and then headed to a local restaurant for lunch. Mardi was looking for wings, but so far on our travels, wings have not been on any menu, even in the bars. So, she settled for Cheese Curds and some salad.

Lake Geneva is seven miles long and our cruise took us around the entire perimeter. Multi-million dollar homes every step of the way!
The Wrigley family owns about a mile of shoreline with several mansions.
Most of the mansions on the lake are only used for a few weeks in the summer. This one is the biggest. It was subdivided into seven units a few years ago, but one woman has bought up six of them and has a promise that the seventh will be hers whenever the owners decide to sell.
The docks on the lake are all the same. Not a bylaw, just an accepted standard. They're all dismantled and brought ashore for the winter.
I asked the Captain what would be the cheapest house. He said that a 1,500 square foot ranch style sold for 3.5 million a couple of years ago.
This steamboat dates from the 1800's and still operates as it originally did.
Glad to get back to our unit and warm up with Canadian Club!

We had originally planned to head for Chicago for most of the day tomorrow but have decided to leave it for another year. Holiday Inn Club has a resort in Illinois, about an hour south of Chicago. We'll head there next year and add a couple of days for Chicago and do it right.
Stay well.
