Headed to the greenhouse to do some more work on the Lilac garden. Digging out 4 to 6 inches of heavy clay and replacing it with 4 to 8 inches of top soil.
Taking the clay back to dump it was a joy due to the magnificent view on this fine fall day.
Also in the view today were my son and his three boys, replacing a section of the greenhouse roof (Ewen is out of sight on the other side of the house, holding down the plastic).
By the time that I left about all that remained was to reinflate the roof.
You need a windless day for this job. Otherwise you risk taking a ride off the roof on a plastic sail.

Mardi has been suffering with a head cold which started on the way home from Wisconsin (Covid test proved negative). That's probably why I'm beating her at Skip-Bo. Too soon to brag though.

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. Al's response yesterday said it best. Thanks for being our friends!
Stay well.
