Mardi's brother, Steve Lougheed, has been our biggest contributor but was blanked once again on our cards. Apparently he hedged his bets this year by also supporting A.J. and picked up a win on one of A.J.'s cards. Well done group!

Finished raking the gravel off the grass today. Did you know that you can get a blister on your thumb while raking, even if you're wearing sturdy gloves? Damn!
Next project will be to trim the sod around the pine trees that line the driveway. That will start Monday (tomorrow Mardi and I are getting "shot" so we'll take it easy).

David is having a great Lily season, a marked contrast to last year!
His customers stood by their commitments, he filled them all, and had more demand than supply. Looks like one of the Niagara area growers had some kind of crop failure. Many of their customers came to David to see if he could provide additional plants.
So, no freebies at the end of the driveway this year. But, there are still great bargains in the garden centre if you're happy with three bloom plants........
What the heck - just buy two or three!
There are also prime candidates for sale........
Let's hope the rest of the 2021 season goes as well!
