Sorry about the delay in this posting. I left my camera case at Jo-Ann's last night and had to retrieve it today in order to download pictures.
We had intended to take in the Circle B Bar Reserve today. But, their website cautioned that Martin Luther King Day might alter their hours. After two phone calls a half hour apart went unanswered we decided to reload, and instead drove to Mount Dora to enjoy the atmosphere.
On the way out of the complex we showed Jo-Anne the River Island section.
The lazy river above, and the climbing tower and (deflated) water slide below.
In Mount Dora, lunch at Cecile's French Corner is a favourite. Today I had a salad and a smoked salmon quiche. The ladies had soup and a crepe.
Then some shopping.
We'll go out of sequence to show you a dress-up moment when we got home to show off the new necklaces.
Saw this sign outside one of the stores.
And this tee shirt is a popular item.
The Mount Dora Lawn Bowling Club includes a Canadian flag on the property. Note the all white attire.
We took a walk on the boardwalk and through the jungle along the waterfront.
The Great Blue Herons were frantically protecting their eggs from dozens of Black Vultures.
Then we headed to Jo-Ann's for games of Hand and Foot. The rookie and Mardi almost pulled it off, but Jo-Ann and I won both games.
We will get together tomorrow for a second round - Jo-Anne and Mardi have already started the trash talk. Should be fun.
