Jamaica was officially cancelled at 9:30 this morning. Better luck next time.
Normally we don't worry about insurance regarding cancellation of our trips, but thankfully this time Mardi did. So we don't get a refund, but a travel credit for future use.
Meanwhile, it's sideways and white outside.
So let's move on to more positive vacation memories.
----------------------------------------
When Mardi's grandson Ethan reached the age of 12 she picked an adventure trip for him - we flew to South Africa and stayed just outside Kruger National Park.
We met some of the local inhabitants.
Ethan's eyesight was remarkable. He picked out animals before the rest of us, including the driver/guide.
The resort had its own golf course, so Ethan and Mardi tried it out.
Nice form!
OK, they didn't climb the whole way up the mountain. Cable car got us most of the way.
Then a sail boat ride, a bit sideways, that wasn't really up Ethan's alley.
And then we were on to the southern tip of the continent. The Indian Ocean on the left, the Atlantic on the right.
Back north a bit for a ziplining adventure.
And finally, home to a proud dad.
A special trip for a grandmother and her grandson (and for the photographer as well). She did it up right!
--------------------------------------------
Tomorrow it's Ewen's turn.
Stay well.
