Today is extra special....it's daughter Jo-Ann's birthday, and niece Robin shares it with her. Best wishes to both.

Spent my time at the greenhouse watering. Mardi and I will be golfing tomorrow with Sven and Helga (Gary and Jill) and with the forecast I wanted to help the plants and trees survive while I'm away being "busy" in the heat. We're playing nine holes at the St. David's course near Niagara Falls. May break open a bottle of wine after.

Our air conditioning gave up the fight yesterday. In this heat it's bringing back my childhood memories. Survived it then. We'll survive until Monday when Shipton's is open.

The good Blue Jays team showed up today, making spectacular defensive plays and showing lots of offence. Much better than yesterday.
