A Golf Day

After a couple of poor weather days we finally got on the course today.  Weather was beautiful, low 20's C, bit of a breeze.

The course was backed up and so we had time to meet some folks from Burlington during our round.


The fifth hole on the Reserve, from a different angle.  The green is 150 yards and to the left of the sand trap, across the water.  Mardi and I chose to play it safe toward the trap.

Beside the tee is a bunch of Cannas, growing wild.  Pretty!

This is number 10.  A ditch goes down the right side, before crossing the fairway and ending in this pond.  Mardi navigated it well and made it across the pond with this shot.

Maybe this isn't a good spot to go ball hawking.  There's a gator between Mardi and the water.

We tied on holes, but once again she beat me on score.  Putting three balls in the water probably hurt my chances.

We hear the fireworks most nights at 8 p.m. unless the wind is heading that way.  Unfortunately, the camera and its operator don't do a good job of catching the action.

Nothing planned for tomorrow but we'll try to do something interesting.
