Royal St. Cloud

Royal St. Cloud is one of the nicest courses we play down here, but it is a challenging links type course.  It ate us up a bit today.

But it does have a sense of humour!

Those who have followed the blog in the past will recognize this hole.

Little Poison is an island green par three with a two tiered green.  That's my ball right behind the flag.

Oops!  That's Mardi's ball to the left and it turned out to be closer than mine.

After #17 we were tied on holes.  In a wonderful display of sportsmanship Mardi put her second shot on #18 in the water and lost the hole by one stroke.  So the old guy remains undefeated (sorry Barry and Ron) although he lost in stroke play.

Tonight we headed out to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner.

I wonder how they knew?

You don't suppose they were talking about the Crab legs do you?

The old guy had a platter of Shrimp.  Awesome!

Across the street is the Icon complex.  Each of those white lights is on the bottom of a bench seat with crazy people sitting on it.  That section spins until it reaches the top of the tower.

Too much for us.  It's back to the room as another great day comes to a close.

Tomorrow is a quiet day.  Oil change for the van.  Maybe a swim.  Then we pick up Bob Reid at the Orlando Airport for his two week stay with us.
