Mount Dora Art Festival (49th year)

 Maureen and Matt joined us for our trip to the Art Festival today.  And we spent over four hours touring the 300 plus tent exhibitors who came from all over the USA.  What awesome talent!  

I'll bore you with some pictures.

In the above painting, the straw is real!  So are the people.

Some creations were three dimensional.

I posed for this one.

This guy was amazing.  He takes the tops and bottoms of propane tanks, cuts and welds them so that by hitting the cut patterns with a drum stick (see the drum on the wall) you can play a major scale.  And he makes them in different keys!

$275 for this one is a bargain.  Some creations went for a few thousand!

All in all, a great show and a day well spent!

Tomorrow we mail Jo-Anne home.  It's been a good week.
