A postscript for yesterday.
-Golf rained out.
-Blue Jays game wasn't carried up here. They apparently blew out the Yankees.
-And Mardi beat me at Skip-Bo. For the first time since we began play last December she is in the lead for both score and games.
It was a struggle. Labour Day is well named!

Apparently, my Tuesday guys wimped out on golf today. But Mardi and I soldiered on!
It's not that I like playing in the rain, but the weather forecasters are about as accurate as my driver! I usually show up and take my chances.
It was cool and the air was damp but we only had a few drops during the round. You could see your breath though on a couple of the early holes.
In anticipation of my reporting, Gary Parker penned this email:
Settlers Ghost is a beautiful course and it's in great shape. Lots of blind shots and elevation changes though.
Nice follow-through. Too bad the ball went into the trees at the bottom of the hill.
Mardi closed me out on the 16th hole. The following picture will give you a clue as to how that happened.
Afterwards we headed to a large Barrie mall to get some Sudoku books. And Mardi found a store that was closing up and purchased a sweater for $5, regular $69. A good day.

Tonight, the Blue Jays scraped together a one run victory over the Yanks. They're fun to watch.
------------------------------------------------
Tomorrow we return to Settlers Ghost. More rain in the forecast - we'll see how that goes. We're playing with Mardi's cousin Jill and her friend Ron.
-------------------------------------------------
Stay safe.
