Family Time

Golfed today at Settlers Ghost with Ron and Jill, seen here after the round.

The engraving on the glass behind them made no sense to me until Mardi clued me in.

For those of you who are as slow as me, it is the golf course logo - a native with headress and a pioneer.  Pretty neat!

The forecast called for rain and it had indeed rained heavily overnight.  As usual, the weatherperson got it a bit wrong.  We had a few drops of rain on the 16th hole and that was it.  However, it was definitely a foggy, damp and chilly day.

Mardi closed me out after 13 holes.  For the early holes my glasses fogged up and that's my excuse.

But, the course is beautiful enough that scores and weather didn't matter.  Good friends do.

Can't explain the sun burn I got.

After wine and nachos we said our goodbyes.  A great day!

Then it was time to meet up with Jo-Ann and Barbara.  They booked timeshare here for next week and when they heard that we would be here they advanced their reservation so that they could spend a couple of days with us.  We haven't seen them since last year.

Played a game of Hand and Foot and Barb and I got creamed!  So we switched to Skip-Bo and are now ahead 105 to 80.  We're going to stay with that game - seems the right thing to do.

Tomorrow we have nothing planned so we decided to look for a Thai restaurant and get fed before we settle in for a marathon card game.

Stay well.  Stay safe.
