Birthday wishes to daughter Barbara today. She didn't head west with the ladies earlier because she wanted to spend Christmas with granddaughter Rowan (and considering the weather the ladies drove through, it could be argued that she's smarter than them too). Barbara will be heading west to join them in the New Year. Enjoy your birthday and say hi to Rowan for me!
Tomorrow is the birthday of Mardi's New Year's baby, Greg. Best wishes to him as well. He'll be visiting Mardi on the 2nd, after I'm on my way south.

I had my last eye doctor visit of 2025 this morning - at 6:30 a.m. in Mississauga. Surprisingly, despite the time and day there was quite a bit of traffic.
My left eye is now good to go. The right eye has had some cells form on the back of the replacement lense which are clouding up the vision a bit. That will get lasered in April when we return.
Hopefully, that will end the eye saga for both of us. This year has been a bit life altering for Mardi and for me. For the first time we've been feeling old and vulnerable. Not a nice feeling and it will end at midnight as the New Year is rung in. Better times ahead!

Tonight we're having dinner with Maureen and Matt, Irene, and Stu and Georgina Beattie. Nice way to end the year.
