No pictures today. It was just a repeat of other rounds at King's Ridge, although the greens continue to deteriorate. I don't know why, but many local Florida courses are having trouble with their greens.
The bottom line is that I got creamed once again by Mardi and I'm getting tired of her smile when it happens!
So Matt and I got even at the Skip-Bo game tonight. Now I feel better.
Tomorrow we play at Swiss Fairways.
Sorry about the brief blog but life is just a bowl of cherries right now and I'm looking for peaches. Maybe tomorrow.

Pittsburgh 19 - Toronto 14
First, a response to Barry's last post comment: Yes, there is a delightful downtown Kissimmee, on the shores of beautiful Lake Tohopekaliga. The only thing stranger than the name of the lake is that we counted five barber shops in two blocks on the main drag. The park alone is worth the visit.
So, today we headed to Dunedin, a two hour drive, to watch the Blue Jays spring training game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

But first we had to attend a safety training class.
And then we got seated.
We were in time to watch the Pirates batting practice.
Hazel Mae was there.
....and so was Ace.
They even had a WestJet Flight Deck, somewhat scaled down from the one at the Rogers Centre.
Our new first baseman, Joe Panik, hit an early home run and we had the lead when our veterans were replaced by the no-names in the middle of the game.
But things went severely downhill from there as you can see from the final score.
Next, it was off to Madeira Beach for a nostalgia trip for Maureen and Mardi to see where they had stayed (Maureen was a part owner of the condo) and then headed to John's Pass Village to have dinner.
I even danced with my date!

And then we had a two hour drive home.
To make sure the ladies had a complete day, Matt and I let them win the deciding hand of Skip-Bo tonight. What gentlemen!
Tomorrow will be a golfing day.

Downtown Kissimmee
We had our serenaded (by the Mockingbird) swim again this morning. What a wonderful atmosphere!
Today was over 30 C and humid again, so no golf. Instead we headed to downtown Kissimmee for a walk around.
Saw a couple of murals.
A very interesting hardware store. Matt found an item he had been looking for.
Building walls weren't the only decorated places.
And there were other 'works of art" to view.
But the best place was the waterfront park.
The park is much bigger than my pictures can show, and it includes several unique play areas for the kids, like this one,
Unfortunately, heading home we got mired in rush hour traffic. So it was back into the pool to recover.
And speaking of recovery - Matt and I had been on the ropes in our Skip-Bo score, but had a remarkable hand tonight that gave us a narrow lead. Whoever wins the next hand will likely win the game. Stay tuned.
Tomorrow we head to Dunedin to see the Blue Jays take on the Pittsburgh Pirates. The temperature is forecast to be much more moderate, thank goodness.

Hunter's Creek
We sat outside this morning and listened to the Mockingbird once again. What a treat.
And then it was off to Hunter's Creek Golf Club on a recommendation from one of our Byrncliff golfers. While the course is well laid out and, although mostly flat, challenging, it certainly could use some TLC.
The greens were not great......
...and the traps were mostly caked or wet.....
...although we did find the odd one with good sand.
It was hot (over 30 C) and humid and my pulse rate topped out at 135 (nothing to do with the fact that I lost to Mardi by 10 holes) so we were glad when it was over. We won't likely play here again for a while.
A couple of rye and cokes got my heart rate back in sync and after a delicious dinner prepared by Maureen we played cards once again. Mixed results is all I can say.
Tomorrow we will take it easy. Maybe explore old Kissimmee.

Super Tuesday
I started the day with a walk around the survey, as you can see by the picture that Matt took.
And I followed that up with some time in the pool, as you can see by the picture that Mardi took.
As you can see, they both decided to show my better side!
While we were in the pool we were serenaded non-stop by a very talented Mockingbird. What a lovely way to spend a morning!
We bought tickets for a Blue Jays game over the internet but, lacking a printer, we had to head over to a UPS store to download them. That's a Friday date - they're playing the Pirates. Mardi remembered to bring our fan gear so it should be a good day.
Tonight Matt and I struggled to make headway against the ladies at the Skip-Bo table. But we're not giving up!
After cards, we stopped to watch the Democratic primaries. Looks like Bloomberg may have wasted a half billion dollars (U.S.) in advertising, since Biden and Sanders seem to be the leaders across the board.
Tomorrow we try a golf course that we haven't played before - Hunter's Creek. We'll see how that goes.

We're Back
Our flights this trip were a quick turnaround, so we didn't have a lot of time to do other things.
So, this morning I went for my old guy's B12 shot and then delivered Mardi to her office so that she could get up=to-date on the latest news. Went home and plowed through the mail, made sure that the bills would be paid and by 11 a.m. picked Mardi back up for our trip to the airport.
We had rain for the whole trip to the airport, heavy at times, but the mild temperature helped us to dodge what could have been a weather bullet.
Once again, there were virtually no cars at Customs. The agent at the Nexus line was only interested in why our car had Ohio plates, and we passed through quickly.
Our car was a Hyundai Elantra. Very nice, smooth, and hard to hold back. It just floated past the speed limit if I didn't keep an eye on the speedometer. And the total cost for the time we had the car was $37.47 U.S. plus $7.89 U.S. for gas.
This time, at the Frontier Airlines desk, we had the good fortune to have an experienced agent and our boarding pass showed the proper pre-clearance status. We were through the security line in a jiffy.
The trip back from the airport went well and after exiting the toll road we had a serious delay as various highways were dumping traffic onto I-4, but after exiting that highway we seemed to catch all of the lights in "go" mode. Apparently, some time after we got through the I-4, Hwy 27 exit they closed most lanes for construction and what took Mardi and I about a minute to get past held Matt and Maureen up for a half hour.
Not sure what tomorrow's plans will be. Maybe just a day in the pool.

Damn Nexus
Matt and Maureen headed to the Winter Park Boat Tour this morning. Mardi had a short swim, we played two hands of Skip-Bo, and then we left for the airport.
Presented our Nexus cards at the Frontier counter and they produced boarding passes. Got to the TSA Pre-clearance line at security and they turned us back because the boarding pass didn't show the pre-clearance. So back we went to the Frontier desk and they tried twice more. Still couldn't get it right.
So we had to go through the cattle call lineup for regular security clearance. The ironic twist is that we wasted an extra 20 minutes to try to avoid what turned out to be a 15 minute security clearance.
We got to Buffalo on schedule. Picked up the rental Hyundai Elantra and headed for the border. There was only one car in the regular lines but we went to the Nexus line anyway. Turns out there was a pickup truck ahead of us that took two or three minutes to clear. So we wasted a bit more time because of the Nexus card. A real winner it is!
When we pulled up and showed the cards, a voice (the booth is not manned) asked where the car came from (it has Ohio plates). Once I explained we were allowed through.
By this time we were a bit hungry so we headed for Chuggies, at the corner of Millen and Barton.
,,,and ordered a Hot Hamburg for me and hot Wings for Mardi.
We're now home and have read the mail. Time for bed - we've got an early wake-up in the morning before we head to the airport.
